Today’s consumers are becoming more digitally adept by the day, moving many of their daily tasks and activities to online channels that have become the norm for many people.  This poses a challenge to brands and businesses who need to quickly adopt digital solutions if they want to remain competitive and able to meet consumers where they are.

System integrators in particular have the unique task of helping business clients to link connectivity with digital solutions, and in recognition of this challenge, Globe Business recently launched its partner program to aid them in that endeavor.

Through the Globe Partner Network program, tech integrator companies who strive to build robust systems for their clients now get valuable exposure to Globe Business’ roster of MSME clients through exclusive events where they can interact with them and learn from their experiences. In addition, they get access to paid certification training that will hone their skills and help them deliver more groundbreaking solutions for their clients.

Known as the Globe Partner Network, the program may be new but it has already garnered inspiring success stories shared by partners during their first Kamustahan session.

A success story: GPN opens opportunities for Spring Valley

During the Globe Partner Network Kamustahan, where existing GPN members were able to share their success stories with potential partners. The CEO and founder of local tech company Spring Valley and a pioneer GPN partner, Jonathan de Luzuriaga, shared how joining GPN has opened up many opportunities for his company and expanded their clientele reach.

With many businesses struggling due to a lack of digital presence during the pandemic, being a GPN partner allowed him to reach out to these businesses, helping them make their connectivity faster and better – plus getting more publicity for his company at the same time. Globe Business’ API solutions and other digital tools also removed the need to build things from scratch, making work easier and more efficient for him and his employees.

But for de Luzuriaga, one of the most important things he gained upon joining GPN was finding a more meaningful reason to continue what they’re doing as a company.  “Globe Business allowed Spring Valley to connect to a higher purpose,” he said when talking about Spring Valley’s Pilantropo, OJTph, and CLEAR (Citizen’s Logistics and Early Assessment Report Tool) projects.

“Our main objective is to identify start-ups from all over the Philippines that would create technological solutions to make an impact on the lives of our countrymen,” de Luzuriaga added.

New members! Here are GPN perks and benefits you can get

On top of de Luzuriaga’s inspiring story, everyone in attendance was also buzzing with excitement upon the announcement of the new perks for GPN partners.

Existing members will enjoy increased media exposure that helps them in attracting more clients. Accreditation and presentation tools to further push Globe Business’ solutions are also readily available. Members can also offer Globe Business solutions and bundle them together with their own services to earn commissions. GPN partners can also continue learning with Globe Business through its paid certification training incentive.

All signs point to the ICT sector as one of the fastest-growing industries in the country today, buoyed by the rapid digitalization across the Philippines.

At this critical time of recovery when businesses are pivoting their operations to leverage technology and adapt to shifting consumer behavior, mentorship and guidance from experts are valued. Responding to this call, Globe Business announced the recent appointment of Jonathan De Luzuriaga as its brand ambassador for Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

“With an entrepreneur’s keen understanding of how successful businesses operate, and a clear vision of the spaces where the ICT industry needs to play to help local businesses thrive, his role as Globe Business ambassador will be valuable in co-creating solutions both at an industry level and business operations level,” said KD Dizon, MSME Group Head of Globe Business, who welcomed the partnership as a sign of the company’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and tech adoption amongst MSMEs in order to help uplift the lives of their customers.

Paving the way for the Philippine Software Industry with Jonathan De Luzuriaga

A change-maker in the ICT world and a long-time partner of Globe Business, De Luzuriaga’s passion for technology has led him to initiate positive and potentially industry-wide changes that benefit system integrators and independent software vendors, smaller start-up tech companies, and even the local economy.

Foremost among his objectives is to support the local ICT industry’s drive to attain and sustain global leadership in market share, mindshare, and innovation. Meanwhile, as President of the Philippine Software Industry Association (PSIA), he leads the nation’s efforts in building successful inbound and outbound missions to Asia and other parts of the world while seeking new ways to strengthen and increase the competitiveness of the local digital economy to help businesses grow and uplift the lives of the Filipinos.

“There is no time like the present. Businesses must take advantage of the wide variety of digital solutions readily available to all of us. There is a forecast that the ICT sector will grow by 5% from now till 2022, which further underlines the importance of organizations transitioning to digital. This is why I’m glad to partner with Globe Business because it doesn’t just provide MSMEs like us the right technology suited for our operations but we also share the same vision of bringing the way forward for the Philippine tech industry,” said De Luzuriaga.

The IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines reported that the IT-BPM industry demonstrated resilience in the face of unprecedented global disruption, adding 23,000 jobs and generating revenues of US$26.7 billion in 2020, a 1.4% increase from the previous year (2019).

De Luzuriaga also established a technology hub in Negros Occidental called Spring Valley Tech Corp, which is pegged as the local counterpart of California’s Silicon Valley. It is a self-sustaining city in the highly progressive town of Bago that fosters a community of professionals and learners who produce digital innovations supported by Globe Business ICT solutions.
