Japan Philippine Institute of Technology adopts new learning platform fit for new normal from Globe

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, educational institutions are adopting systems that would help students continue education in the comfort and safety of home. With schools transitioning to online learning as part of the new normal, Japan Philippine Institute of Technology partnered with Globe for the Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS).

Through the partnership, the institution secured 2,500 Brightspace LMS licenses, which will aid online education for students, faculty, and staff for the school year 2020 to 2021. The platform serves as a cost-effective and productive method of creating, distributing, and managing the delivery of lessons.

“With numerous schools transitioning to the new normal, the partnership between Japan Philippine Institute of Technology and Globe comes at an opportune time. It is our first LMS which will be extremely helpful for the faculty as the load has been lessened, and also beneficial for students as it is user-friendly and will provide both online and offline access to lessons,” shares Bernadeth Negrido, Human Resources Manager at Japan Philippine Institute of Technology. “Despite it being a huge adjustment, from traditional to online learning, we know that Globe will provide the much-needed support and training for our admin and staff on the technology to be used.”
